I have stumbled over some recent photos of the cast of Twilight’s third installment “Eclipse” And Angelica Huston’s son Jack Huston is cast to play Royce King II in the movie. I have read this series and I have NO idea who this character is.
Can someone tell me who the character is and what is his relevance to the movie?

It’s Rosalie’s husband/fiance from when she was human. He’s the one that abuses her with his friends and she gets left to die when Carlisle finds her on the street and turns her into a a vampire.
Read Eclipse. She is basically telling Bella about her past, opening up a little bit. Shedding light on her jealousy and hatred for her. Royce King is basically a wealthy man in Rosalie’s human past. She was going to get married to him thinking only about having beautiful children, leaving in a luxury-type home etc. She notices the loving kisses between her friend (Vera) and her husband. She’s jealous since Royce has never gave her that much affection. She’s also jealous of Vera’s baby boy. One night she’s walking home when she see’s Royce with his friend. He’s drunk and begins to abuse her, this leads to him raping her, it is unstated whether his friends also did so, but all Rosalie can feel is pain. She waits for death… but it never came. Carlisle saves her, changing her into a vampire. Once Rosalie is a vampire, she kills Royce.
