This was during the casting, of the first movie… I think, and one of the actors that was supposed to play Jacob (or some other character) died? And the news magazines were speculating who was going to play Jacob? Taylor Lutner plays him now, but who was the one going to play Jacob before?
Does anybody know the name of the actor that died, who was supposed to play jacob on Twilight?

You may be thinking this incorrectly due to the following facts:
Due to major physical changes that occur in the character of Jacob Black throughout the series, the director of Twilight’s sequel, The Twilight Saga: New Moon, considered replacing Lautner with a different actor in the second film. In an attempt to keep the role, Lautner weight-trained extensively and gained approximately 30 pounds. Lautner reprised his role as Jacob in New Moon.
