  • I am of the opinion that Ms Meyers is looking for ANY way to make a buck on her idea – even to the point of releasing half the first book – ‘course when I preordered it, I don’t recall Vol. 1 – why couldn’t this have been the whole thing? I’ll answer my own question – dollars! I have nothing against someone getting rich – yea for them! But don’t do it so that it cheats others. If this is what will be done to all the books, we are talking 8 volumes here – or more, since the books got thicker as she wrote along.

I was really disappointed and, frankly, I won’t be suckered into getting any more. The “art” does NOT make up for the cheat.

This was such a waist of my $20. I pre-ordered this novel because I enjoyed the twilight series. This was such a butchering of the story. It was even worse then the movie. Bella looks like a complete moron. You don’t get to see inside her head at all. She just seems like a daft little girl and Edward just comes up out of no where.

The Illustrations are lazy. They are just figure drawings scanned in along with photographs that have been horribly edited in photoshop a little. I have not seen many graphic novels but i know that they were all done better than that.

I was all around disappointed with this and wish i had not waisted my money.

This is going to sound like the dumbest review ever and I hate to admit that I was ignortant to what a “graphic” novel was before picking up this book. I assumed that since Twilight was not orginally written for a teen audience that the graphic part was more of an “rated R” version of the first book. So, as you can imagine, I was disapointed. I did however enjoy reading the story from a different perspective. I have to agree with the other poster though, what is with the tear/sweat bead on Bella’s face?

“Twilight: The Graphic Novel” was, by far, not as good as Twilight. I did think the graphic novel was okay, but it was not close to being great. I was peeved by a few things. It seemed that since Stephanie Meyer isn’t going to be writing any more books in the “Twilight Saga”, she is just trying to think of new things to keep the “Twilight Saga” going so people won’t forget about it. For example, “Twilight: The Graphic Novel: Volume One”, having the saga made into movies, and she is trying to finish writing “Midnight Sun” (“Twilight” in Edward’s point of view). Also, I did not agree with some of the pictures in “Twilight: The Graphic Novel”. Some characters looked nothing like they were supposed to look. I mean, Edward and Jacob are supposed to be cute… they weren’t cute in this book. I wish that instead of having Volume 1 and doing just half of the book, it should just be the whole book in one. But other than that I enjoyed this graphic novel and I thought it was entertaining.

  • I enjoyed the graphics and it is very fun to see the characters animated. I didn’t realize that it was Volume 1 of 2. Where is 2? I can’t have half the story, Stephanie and Yen press, hurry! :)
