I was wondering if reading the Twilight book before seeing the movie ruined the movie for you. I read the Harry Potter book The Half Blood Prince before seeing the movie and I was a little disappointed. I really loved the book and the movie just didn’t live up to my expectations. Just wondering what your thoughts are. Thanks!

i have read all the books. and reading twilight didn’t ruin the movie for me it made me understand the movie more
!!
Nah, it didn’t ruin the movie for me. The movie is lacking in many details, yes.
I view the movie as an interpretation of the books. It’s like a nice painting of the books. No, it doesn’t cover every page of the Twilight novel; but it’s still entertaining.
Yea reading the book will increase the understanding of the movie. But they do leave out some parts, but over all its awesome. Ive read all the books and they are all good, i cnat wiat for the 2nd movie to come out
Generally, books are better than movies.
I thought Twilight was okay. The storyline at least was sort of original. But Stephanie Meyer’s writing style was not that great, seeing as how she stuck in some random SAT words everywhere. But in my opinion, the movie wasn’t that great either.
Well i saw the movie first and THEN got interested in the books.
I would say see the movie first, cuz then you dont really have any expectations for it. ya know? And then when you read the book, you can picture it in your head better
hope i helped! (:
I love TWILIGHT it is my life now its amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Taylor Lautner is sexy and Jackson Rathbone is cuteLOL
yout gunna feel the same way trust me cus it the book it has such great part and then when yu see the movie your wondering what happened to that part and this one! lol Get me? so yea they cut out alot of them good good parts.
I really honestly think that it is much smarter to see the movie before you read the books because the books are so much better (even though Robert Pattinson isn’t in them) than the movie and everybody has such high expectations for the movie(s) but it kind of fell flat. So I think, yes, reading the book before seeing it would set your expectations high and your hope would be ruined.
It won’t ruin the movie for you. Books came first and they are meant to be truest. You should care more about the books than the movie. Movies never live up to expectations. And besides, the movies don’t try to keep the same details as the book. They just try to keep the spirit the same. And for me that’s not enough.
Maybe reading the book will make you appreciate the movie more. Because I haven’t read the book before I watched the movie and to this day, after buying the movie on BluRay, I so REGRET it, the purchase that is. I wish I could get my money back!
I didn’t read the book before I saw the movie. Now that I read the book, I just know that IF I read it first, I wouldn’t be really impressed by the movie anymore. But now that I read the book after-wards and then watched the movie again, I noticed all sorts of small things. And I think that it’s more fun not to know those things when you see the movie for the first time. But, that’s my opinion!
