Maybe it’s just because they were two of the most iconic shows ever, and both happened to be sci-fi shows in the 1960s…
But I just can’t help but wonder what would’ve happened if Rod Serling and Gene Roddenberry had worked together…
If The Twlight Zone met Star Trek!
So many of these episodes, like this one, really do seem like they could work as Trek episodes, and so many Trek episodes are clearly influenced by The Twlight Zone…
What if Kirk and Crew found themselves in…!
@Sneezlebob lol wtf
Holy hell.. It’s just amazing how much imagination and how much creativity people at 60s’ had. Each episode is a masterpiece! The quality of this series is amazing!
@Phokhotic that was a gangster handshake not a nazi one
I would’ve got naked and started jacking off
He’ll remain in his cage with running water and electricity and central heat…
Twilight Zone seems a lot like 21st century America.
It’s the guy from Fright Night!!!
If The Twilight Zone were a show of the present period, I am sure, it would have been canceled and replaced by some “reality show” such as “Who wants to be a whore” or “So you think you are a golddigger” or something.
@Supenmanu Not just Star Trek, but a lot of movies and TV shows right up to the present times is “inspired” by the ‘zone.
haha…..earth creatures’ natural habitat = scotch and cigarettes
Why did they put him in that cage he did nothing wrong, how strong was that cage maybe he can get free some how. It look to me that the people were scared of him. At least try to break free
damn, it is proven!!! all white people enslave every living being!!!
This is sooooooooooo similar to “The Cage” in Star Trek… same story same girl… it seems like Star trek got all it’s good actors and good ideas from the Twillight Zone…
try living in england if your white working class living conditions are very simular!
always has been as aussies say “prisoner of her majesty” (pom).
splashin the scotch like cologne? classy
@fluff125 For once i agree with you. Actually, we’d just kill the first wave of new comers. We wouldn’t dissect till the second wave came.
I actually think this has it wrong. If people came to our planet the first thing we’d do is kill them and dissect their bodies.
the shortest guy if the martians is vic perron……the voice from the outer limits opening
@nixthetiger THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN CALLED”PLANET OF THE LITTLE DICKS”
THE NAZI HANDSHAKE AT 1:59
@nixthetiger Thank you very much for your kind words.
@thechaz83 I like that. Never give up.
@nixthetiger Sadly the publishing world has bowed down to conformity. I’m an aspiring writer and have already been exposed to such things. Its sad. A writer cannot even be imaginative and unique anymore. At writing conventions they teach everybody to write using the exact same formula. But I’m still going to write and be myself, maybe self publish. Its the only way. Hopefully the publishing houses will change in the far off future.
Quite predictable. Great episode, big thinker.
“Look at it like this, Mr. Conrad: we built you a crib and you’ve got booze and cigs and you don’t have to worry about a job. And the real plus is you’re safe in your cage, since our city you wanted to visit so badly resembles the semi-deserted parts of the Earth city of Gary, Indiana, crime and all. But you don’t have to thank us. No, really!”
